Maribel Aber

  Maribel Aber (born Maribel Alacbay O'Brien) is a reporter for CNN's Money Matters.She was previously the head of staff for the vice chairman of NASDAQ.



 



 Career



 She joined CNN in 2012, resigning her post as anchor for PBS' Wall Street Week.She has covered for CNN on business, financial, and personal finance news, as they pertain to families and consumers. She has also reported on stories that include the China Market Crash in 2015 and the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting and the Facebook initial public offering in 2012. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. degree, majoring in international affairs. After having graduated from New York Law School, she received her J.D. The degree was awarded in February 2003. Aber is from New York City. Robert E. Aber is her former Senior Vice President and General Counsel at NASDAQ.
